Congress Party Gains Majority in Bombay

In the first result of the elections for the provincial Upper Houses in Bombay for 30 seats, ot which four are nominated by the Government, the Congress Party obtained 13 and the remainder are distributed among various parties, including two to the Swarajists, who are pro-Congress.
