The Duke of Windsor’* private ’plane, piloted by FlightLieutenant Fielden, has left Hendon. It is believed to be taking Sir Walter Monckton, Attorney to the Duchy of Cornwall to Vienna.
The political correspondent the Morning Post understand* that Sir Walter Monckton will discuss the financial arrangements with the Duke which are holding up the preparation of the Civil List, though a grant is likely to be made privately.
The question of hi* projected marriage is creating difficulties. Until private arrangement* are completed the Government will be unable to proceed to any appointment* for the Select Committee on the Civil List.
