DOMINION BREWERIES

New Issue Of Shares At a Premium The directors of Dominion Breweries, Limited, have decided to raise additional capital by offering to existing up to 40,000 of the company’s unissued shares of £1 each, at a premium of 7/6 per share, on the following terms: (a) The sum of 5/- per share payable on application together with an instalment of 2/6 per share on account of the premiums—a total of 7/6 per share; (b) The sum of 5/- per share payable on allotment together with an instalment df 2/6 per share on account of premiums—a total of 7/6 per share; (c) The sum of 5/- per share together with an instalment of 2/6 per share on account of the premium-—a total of 7/6 per share —payable on the last day of April, 1937; (d) The sum of 5/- per share payable on the last day of May. 1937. • All shares will rank for dividend according to the amount, exclusive of premiums, paid up from time to time on the same. Payment in full may be made either on application or allotment.’ The shares will be issued only to

existing shareholders, on the proportion of one share for every four existing shares held. The directors have decided that the premium on shares allotted shall be exclusively applied as an addition to the company’s existing general reserve fund. In a circular to shareholders, the directors state that they consider the time to be opportune for the installation of an up-to-date plant for the brewing of a high-quality Continental type of lager beer. Further, the growth of trade experienced by the company has created the necessity for further extensions and improvements to the company’s brewery plant and buildings. The existing facilities were barely able to meet demands during the recent Christmas period. The company has a nominal capital of £250,000, the paid capital at March 31. 1936, being £108,519. An issue of shares was made in September last year, when 40,000 ordinary £1 shares- were offered at £l, with a premium of 2/6 a share.
