COMPETITION TENNIS.

Senior and Junior Play in Central Taranaki.

As the various tennis''competitions in Central Taranaki are reaching the final rounds, the clubs in the district are considering the Stratford Club’s proposals for the holding of a Central Taranaki senior competition in the latter half of the season.

The Stratford club has suggested, in a circular letter, that the district should be divided into zones of four or five clubs each and that the .winners of each zone should meet on the Stratford club courts at Easter weekend. The final round of the Petrie Shield competition is set down to be played on March 13, but the postponement of games last Saturday will necessitate being played on the following Saturday, March 20.
