Jacob Johnson Re-elected Secretary. Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, To-day. The result, of the ballot throughout the Australian Seamen’s Unions for the position of General Secretary resulted:—Jacob Johnson 608; A. McLaughlin 571; J. Keenan, retiring secretary, 314. Mr Jacob Johnson returns' to office after having been ousted the year Keenan was the leader of the militant group favouring the strike of 1936.
