MAORIS FOR ENGLAND
NATIVE GRIEVANCE.
NOT ENOUGH. Coronation Contingent Should Have More. Press Association—Copyright. Rotorua, To-day. The opinion that the Maori representation in the New Zealand Contingent to attend the Coronation was inadequate, was expressed by the executive of the Maori and Pakeha Federation. After discussing 'the position, it was decided to send the resolution to the Prime Minister expressing disappointment that the loyalty of the Maori race was not to be more suitably recognised, and expressing the hope that arrangements could be made to send an all-Maori delegation to England, accompanying the Prime Minister in his capacity as Native Minister.
The resolution stresses the opinion that both Royalty and the public nt Home will be disappointed at the lack of Maori representation in the New Zealand Contingent.
