Reports that a fundamental change in the Government’s financial policy was impending, caused a minor boom iu Government Stocks, which have averaged a gain of U points. It is expected that restrictions on gold dealings are being removed. It is also rumoured that M. Labeyrie is resigning from the Governorship of the Bank of France owing to differences with the Treasury about money rates.
