MOTOR STRIKE SETTLED
AGREEMENT REACHED
PLANTS EVACUATED.
Troops Have Been Ordered To Demobilise. Press Association—Copyright. Detroit, February 11. The Governor of Michigan, Mr Murphy, announced early this morning that an agreement had been reached which would end the motor strike, which has crippled the production of the General Motors Corporation since late in December. The announcement followed an all-night conference between representatives of the union and of the General Motors Corpora tion. Under the terms of settlement the strikers will evacuate the piauts at Flint and the corporation will drop the injunction granted by Judge Gadola ordering their eviction. Mr. Murphy said the agreement would be formally signed at noon, when specific details of the terms would be announced. Mr. Murphy telephoned the commander of the troops at Flint and ordered him to prepare to demobilise. He said he was particularly pleased that one of the greatest industrial disputes in American history had been attended with not a single fatality.
