WATER SUPPLY. Residents of Juliet Street from Pembroke Road to Regan Street, and Seyton Street from Juliet Street to Orlando Street, are advised that the water supply will be interrupted on Monday next, owing to the work of renewing of the mains. ATHLETIC TROPHY. An offer to present a trophy has been received from Mr. G. A. Carter, Stratford, by the Stratford Athletic and Cycling Club. Mr. Carter has laid down no conditions for the trophy, and the question of what competition it will be allotted for will be decided on at the next meeting of the committee. With this and the D. J. Malone trophy, presented at the commencement of the season, the club has now a total of nine trophies to be competed for by its members. TENNIS DISSATISFACTION. Alteration of the present programme for the Petrie Shield tennis matches is desired by the Midhirst tennis club, who have written asking the shield committee to meet their chairman and secretary to discuss the question. At the last annual meeting of the club the opinion was expressed that too much time was taken up on the clubs courts by competition play, making conditions unfair for non-match-playing members.
