Large Offerings Of Poultry Available. Large offerings' of poultry came forward at the weekly sale at Messrs Newton King’s, mart, yesterday, but there was a scarcity of fruit. Prices realised were; Poultry: Pullets, 3/- to 6/1; hens, 1/- to 2/10; cockerels, 9d to 2/1; roosters, 2/3; guinea fowls 2/7; ducks, 1/4 to 1/7; turkey hens, 3/6. Fruit and vegetables: Onions 5/6 per bag, parsnips 4/- per bag, pumpkins 9/6 to 10/6 per sack, tomatoes' 3/- to 4/6 per quarter case, pears 4/to 5/-, peaches to 8/6, plums to 8/6, gravenstein apples 5/- per haTf case, 9/- per bushel. >
