Remarkable Golf. Jumes Adams, Romford (England) profrssional and runner-up in this year’s open championship, accomplished a remarkable performance on his house course recently by finishing all square in an 18 hole match, after being three down -with six to play against the better-ball score of his assistants, H. Adams and Hugh Watt Adams did the best six holes in 18 strokes —six under bogey—had four successive birdies, and finished th round with an eagle three to win the eighteenth and draw level—wonder fully consistent golf. Featherweights. First st p in solving the problem of the treble claimants for the featherweight championship of the world was taken in Los Angeles when Henry Armstrong, th- oe-r who is managed by Al Jolson, th', film star, outpointed Mike Belloise over 10 rounds. Before the bout Belloise was champion, according to the New York State Athletic Commission, Armstrong was recognised by the Californian State Boxing "Association, and Petey Sarron, of Ala bama, is the N.B.A. nominee.
