Awarded to Jean Batten For 1936. Press Association —Copyright. London, January 31. The Segrave Trophy for the most outstanding demonstration of tne possibilities of transport by land, air or water during 1936 has been awarded to Miss Jean Batten for her New Zealand flight. The trophy was awarded in 1930 to Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, in 1931 to Bert Hinkler, in 1932 to Mrs Amy MolliHon, and in 1934 to Kenneth Waller.
