AUTUMN SHOW.

Schedule Now Available To Exhibitors. (Schedules for the Stratford A. and P. Association's Autumn show, to be held on March 12 and 13, are now available. As the organisation for’ this show is being carried out in almost unprecedentedly short time and its successful achievement is only being made possible by the extreme enthusiasm of the executive and the secretary Mr W. F. Ross, exhibitors must not expect to receive the usual latitude that is given in the matter of late entries in the regular Spring show. All entries close on Thursday, March 4, but it is hoped that exhibitors will co-operate with the association and assist it in making a success of its very progressive experiment, by sending in their entries as soon as possible. Whether or not the Autumn show becomes a permanent fixture and whether it will be possible for two shows to be held annually at Stratford, depends entirely on the verdict of the exhibitors and public, expressed by their support and co-operation. Stroqg entries are expected in the cattle sections as consideration for this class of exhibitor was one of the principal motives for the holding of an Autumn show. Ring events are being made a special feature and in all these classes a wide scope of competition has been arranged and good trophies provided. An outstanding feature, particularly from the spectators point of view, will be the axemen’s' events, a new feature for the Stratford Show. Those who have lived most of their lives in the town and have hot seen expert axemen in action, can have little realisation of what is possible with this tool. To many people this event will provide a sight that is not only spectacular in itself but a| revelation of the surprising possibilities of what in urban areas is a most prosiac and uninteresting exercise. There are three events in this l section, all 12 inch blocks, upright chop.
