Part Of Eltham Drainage District. I The monthly meeting of the Stratj ford County Council was held to-day. Present were: Messrs. T. R. Anderson (chairman), S. Pitt, W. Vickers, L. Standford, G. Jensen, C. Skitrop, J. (’. Best, H. C. Taylor, B. Hutchen, W. H. Were: In connection with the Local Government (Amalgamation Schemes) Bill, Mr. W. J. Tristram, secretary to the Eltham Drainage Board, requested the Council to arrange for a committee to meet the board relative to considering the merging of that part of the drainage district lying within the Stratford County boundaries.—lt was decided to defer consideration pending receipt of further information. Repairs had been made to the ! metalled roads in the North Riding ] which had suffered through wet 1 weather, together with the extra holiday traffic, stated the engineer (Mr. J. W. Spence) in his report. No cases of infectious diseases had been notified in December, reported Mr. R. Gooding, county health inspector.
