A very deep depression with an extension to the north-west was crossing the Dominion during the night, and one or more secondaries are likely to follow it. Pressure is now rising over South-Eastern Australia, The forecast is for moderate to strong westerly winds, reaching gale force at times in exposed positions: weather mainly fair but squally with variable cloud and occasional rain in most places; temperatures moderate to warm; seas rough.
