Nt news has been received from the white-haired exj-journalist, Mr. Donald, who was prominent in the endeavours to free General Chiang Kaishek, head of the Nanking Government, from the hands of the rebels under General Chang Sueh-liang. Unconfirmed reports, however, state that he found Chiang Kai-Shek alive and well. Two divisions of Government troops are encircling Sianfu, but are not attacking, pending the outcome of the negotiations. Donald is GQ years of age and does not speak Chinese, but is trusted by everyone on account, of his simplicity and high moral character.
