Lambing Estimates Issued For Year. Wellington, Last Night. Large increases in the Dominion’s flocks of sheep and indicated in the lambing estimates for the current yearj, derails of which were issued to-day. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. Lee Martin, estimated the number of lambs tailed in the North Island to be 9,322,476, compared with .the actual number for last year of 8,500,075. The South Island estimate is 7,539,576, last year's being 7,196,542. The estimated average lambing percentages this year are North Island 90.50 per cent, and South Island 90.10 per cent. The Dominion total estimate is 16,862,052, compared with the actual number for 1935 of 15,696,617.
