EIGHT DROWNED.
TRAWLER ON ROCKS. Huge Seas Sweep Crew From Boat. (British Official Wireless.) Received Noon To-day. Rugby, December 2. The Lowestoft trawler Girl Nora was caught in a storm this morning off the French coast and ran aground between Calais and Gravelines. The crew put off in a boat but violent seas smashed the craft and eight out of the nine were swept away and drowned. The survivor clung to the mast and was rescued, exhausted, by a French fishing boat.
