Car flips, nurse dies

An Ashburton nurse was killed when she was thrown from a car which left the Taupo-Napier Road near Rangitaiki on Sun day. She was: Lea Denise Brundell, 20, the car driver. A passenger; Elaine Agnes Coults, 20, a trainee teacher of Hamilton, was not injured.

The accident happened at 9.45 a.m. The car was travelling' towards Napier. Taupo police said the car left the road and overturned before landing back on its wheels. Miss Brundell was thrown out and died as a result of injuries. The road was dry at the time of the accident.
