GRANTED
An application, lodged by D. R. Sharrock, to erect seven motel units, a manager's residence store and laundry, and to convert three existing flats into motel units, was granted at last night s meeting of the Taupo Borough Council. The property is at the corner of Rifle Range and Taharepa Roads and is slightly over half an acre. The motel will eventually expand to 10 units. * * * The Lake Taupo Sea Scouts are to be charged $20 per annum for the next five years by the council for the lease of the site of the scout den on the lakefront below Lake Terrace.
