TWO PLAYERS IN BAY OF PLENTY TEAMS

John Williamson has been named in the Bay of Plenty Colts cricket team to play Franklin Colts at Rotorua on Saturday and Sunday, and B. McPherson is in the Bay senior side for its Hawke Cup elimination game against Thames Valley at Tauranga. W. Davey (Wanderers), 12th man for the Bay of Plenty-King Country game at

Turangi before Christmas, has for some inexplicable reason been deleted from the 1 2. His replacement, Tauranga leftarm pace bowler L. D. Anderson, was unavailable for the King Country fixture. Auckland Anniversary Weekend — January 30-Feb-ruary 1 — will provide a feast of cricket on the local scene. Club play will occupy Saturday, the Taupo representative team meets Tauranga at Taupo in a crucial Attrill Cup game on Saturday, and plans are afoot to play South Waikato at Tokoroa on Monday. Taupo is the venue on February 6 and 7 for a game between Bay of Plenty and King Country Colts, while the Bay of Plenty seniors travel to Papakura to play Franklin, the last major fixture for the season. Taupo Colts will host Whakatane on February 14 for a Cleland Shield match, and also Te Puke on February 28. Taupo's final Attrill Cup game is against Te Puke at Te Puke on February 21.
