HOCKEY
Taupo Men's Hockey Association team beat Murupara 12 — 1 in a fast moving game on the Kaimanawa Reserve, on Sunday. All Taupo's scoring was made in the first half of the game. Ohief scorer was I. Strange with eight goals while M. Tonge and C. Byloo scored two goals each. The Taupo women 's hockey A and B teams were not so lucky as the men. Taupo B. lost 6 — 2 to Murupara and Taupo A's match resulted in a final score of 5 — 2. A Taupo women's hockey team will play Rotorua, at the reserve on Saturday.
