Lookouts For Power Scheme
TURANGI (OG) Taupo County Councillors and members of the Turangi Liaison Committee were shown the first public observation point in a number to be built into the Tongariro power development when they visited the township area yesterday. The first point will be above the industrial area on the • site of the water tower. Initially, until designs for lookout buildings have been completed, the Turangi observation point will consist only of a vantage points serviced by paths, parking area and vehicle access. The touring party was shown the development of the residential area and inspected a number of houses.
