Another of the all too familiar parting scenes was staged on a recent evening at the Mangakino Hotel when the opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Chief Fire Officer Lloyd Dennis Chief Fire Officer Dennis has been a member of the Mangakino Fire Brigade for 13| years, and has held the position of chief fire officer for nine years. In this time he brought the brigade to such a pitch of effieiency that it proved a force to be reckoned with in competition with similar organisations elsewhere. Brigade members paid tributes to him and presented Mr and Mrs Dennis with a silver tea service. They are on transfer and will make their future home at Turangi,
