A firm -witli business premises in Titiraupenga Street asked tlie borough council recently for a night-rate tariff for electricity. Tlie electricity eommittee deeided. on a motion by tlie Alayor, Alr J. E. Sftory, "that tlie applicant's letter be I acknowledged, and he be advised that a decision will be forthcoming, and tlie town clerk take up the matter witli the engineer." The council has approved the recommendation.
