LIFE AT THE RITZ

A visitor from Missouri stopped before a huge glass-walled building in Brooklyn, New York, and exclaimed: "That's some hotel, isn't it?" He was wrong. What he was actually looking at was Brooklyn's new, multi-million dollar gaol. Dubbed "The Ritz" by its 600 inmates, the goal boasts these modern conveniences : Cell bars of pastel blue, pink, green and yellow. Brick-red corridor floors, buff walls, blue elevators and clover-green tables and chairs. Cells with washbasin, toilet, bed and writing desk. Television and games room on each of the 10 floors.
