Good Muster Of Bandsmen At Practice
Taupo Citizens Silver Band eommittee now has £331 9s in its fund to pay for instruments, which were used for the first time at practice held at the school last Monday night. Latest contributions to the fund are as follows :
Tliere was a full muster at the first practice held at the school last Monday night, and tlie conductor. Alr AAr. AVilkinson, said the following day that the prospects were better than lie had anticipated. There were 18 players and seven learners, and he said he would be pleased to have other bandsmen to offer their services. In future. learners wiii practise on Thursday nights. Bandsmen have elected the following officers : Sergeant. Alr T. Drummond ; corporal, Alr S. R. Gregory ; lance-corporal, Alr R. E. How. Librarians : Senior, Alr AI. K. Drummond ; junior, Alr R. Drummond. Property master, Alr J. Robertson. As yet the band has not appointed its bandmaster, and it is iii urgent need of an experienced drum-major.
