PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

At a public meeting held in the War Memorial Hall supper-room on Tuesday evening, December 5, convened by the recently formed Taupo District Public Relations Association, and presided over by His Worship the Mayor, Mr J. E. Story, it was decided that the Association should take steps to secure incorporation. A committee of five was set up, as the nucleus of a larger committee, consisting of the Mayor, Mr Story, Messrs F. Bostock J. W. Birnie, C. R. Watson and W. N. Morris, with Mr V. M. Simpson as secretary and acting public relations officer. The committee was instructed to draw up rules for the Association with a view to incorporation, and to approach the Borough Council and the County Commissioner with regard to representation on the committee.
