; Games in the Taupo Women's Bowling Club's championship pairs played on Friday, December 2, resulted as follows (winners' names first) : First round : Mrs W. Rewa and Mrs Loughlin v. Mrs F. Mclsaac and Mrs A. Smith ; Mrs S. Pearce and Mrs W. Marett v. Mrs C. Banks and Mrs Kay McMillan ; Mrs H. Peacocke and Mrs V. Simpson v. Mrs R. Harlan and Mrs G. McMillan. Second round: Rewa and Loughlin v. Pearce and Marett; Peacocke and Simpson v. Mclsaac and Smith ; Banks and Kay McMillan v. Harlan and G. McMillan. At the club's card evening on Thursday evening, December 8, the winners were Mrs Mclsaac and Mr E. Graf. Oonsolation prizes were won by Mrs C. Banks and Mr G. Pearse.
