TE RIMU C.W.I.
There was a full attendance of members at the October meeting of the Te Rimu Country women's Institute held at Fletcher's Mill. The presklent, Mrs K. O'Keefe, welcomed Mrs Kouka, on transfer from another Institute, and Mrs London, who gave an enlightening talk of C.W.I. matters. The competitions were enthusia.sticaily contested, results being as follows : P»os{ darned sock, Mrs A. Wall 1 Mrs K. O'Keefe 2, Mrs Pitlroi 3; best 1 ' I x »i i i . M rs (.) Keele .1, Mrs J. Flight 2. Mrs L. Hoia 3; four pikelets. Mrs A. Wall 1. Mrs S. Peihopa 2, Mrs L. Hoia 3. The snowball was won by Mrs F. J-Iarris. During the serving of afternoon tea sprays were presented to Mrs London and to the judge, Mrs Schou. The saies table liad been well siocked v. ith contributions whicli were equalb well d isposed of. The meeting closed wit.li the National Anthem.
