PERMITS FOR NEW BUSINESS PREMISES

The Borough Council approved applications, at its meeting on August 4, for three new business premises. One was for a block of four concrete shops to be erected by Messrs. Prater and Casson in Tongariro Street. The Taupo Deep Freeze Co. ap plied for a permit for a depot in Titiraupenga Street, between Roberts and Tuwharetoa Streets. The plan was approved subject to the building being constructed in concrete. Mr E. Darlington applied for a permit for the erection of a building for a steam Iaundry. The application was granted subject to a suitable site plan being submitted for a location in the Service Industrial Area and subject to the requirements of the Health Department's inspector being met.
