SCHOOL GALA DAY

INTERESTING PROGRAMME A combined Parents' and Gala Day is to be held at the* Taupo School on Thursday next, October 8th, commencing at 1 p.m'. Held under the combined auspices of the School Committee and the Home and School Association, the event is being planned to show something of the work of the school and in addition to raise money to improve school facilities. With a total roll of 452 pupils, there are many things the Committee and the Association would like to do for the school. Displays of the children's work will be arranged in each classroom and there will be competitions, stalls for the sale of cakes and goods of many sorts, and various forms of amusements. Among other events for the children there will be a Knucklebones Competition. There will be afternoon tea, icecream and soft drinks available at a small charge, and it is hoped that all interested in the school will roll up.
