SOME PROMISING PLAYERS
. ^ Despite cold blustery weather a number of spectators a'ttended the basketball games played at the Taupo District High School grounds last Saturday. The standard of play was faiir. The time of the first garne, Crusaders v. Huka, was halved owing to the late anrival of -several players. The garne was won hy Huka, 6-5. The game between High School and Huka resulted in another win for Huka, 16-7. All teams are showing improvement and there should be some keen eompetition. Players worth watching were: — H. Livesey and II . Andrews, High School; L. Cooper and J. O'Toole, Crusaders; B. Walters and J. I Bogue, Huka. The diraw for nex | Saturday, 4th., is Crusaders v. Hig] j School at 1.30 p.m. and Huka v. Crul saders at 2.30 p.m.
