Mr and Mrs Cyril Aiiderson, of Mount Eden, spent a short tinxe in Taupo last Wednesday, when en iroute to Palmerston North. They will be remembered hy many in Taupo, Mr Anderson having been stationed here as Postmaster for some years. He retired ftrom the s(ervice recently. Mr and Mrs Anderson were on tb.eir way to attend the Diamond Wedding celebrations of Mr Ander^on's parents. ★ Friends of Mr L. E. Reid, who entesred the Waikato Hospital at Hamilton last w;eek, will he pleased to learn that he is getting on well. ★ Mr T. Burt, who has been Superviscr at the Taupo Post Office for the past three years, has been appointed as Postmaster at Heretaunga, neair Wellington. Mr Burt expects to take up his new duties next week, and will r take with him the good wishes of many Taupo friends. ★ Miss K. O. Lewis is at present spending a holiday in Hawkes Bay.
