The Town Board 's Electrieai Department has carried out its second reading of meters and acc-ounts ax%e now being sent out. In some cases these include certain service charges, and on enquiry as to these a Times representative found that the position was as follows. In accordance with Government Electrical Supply Regulations the Board supplies free of charge service lines up to a distance of sixty feet from the road boundary of the property, but any length additional to that is chargeable io the consumer. In some cases it is necessary to fit to buildings, or ctherwise erect, masts or poles for the purpose of keeping the service lines the regulation height above the ground, or above buildings or obstructions, and where this is so the cost is charged.
