ROLL OF HONOUR
NAMES FOR TAUPO WAR MEMORIAL HALL The Taupo District War Memorial Hall Committee, at its recent meeting, discussed the matter of securing the names of men who went on active service from the Taupo Country in any of the wars and who were killed, or died, on service. It had already been decided that the Tuwharetoa Trust Board should be asked to furnish names of Maori servicemen who had fallen, and the Returned Services Association, Taupo, wrill also be glad to receive details of any men. The War Memorial Committee will be pleased if any one knowing the name of any man who died on service, and who went from the Taupo Country, will send the name in to the Secretary, Mr A. Kennedy. Full names should be given where known, and, if possible, the regimetal number. Ihere is, of course, no need to send in to Mr Kennedy names which are known to have been given already to the Tuwharetoa Trust Board, or to the laupo R.S.A. But in order that no names should be missed it is suggested that anyone, knowing of a servieeman who iost his life on ser- , vice, and not being sure that the name has been sent in, should send the name in at once to Mr Kennedy. Names received by Mr Kennedy will be ehecked with the Tuwharetoa Trust Board $nd the R.S.A., lists, and it is hoped that this co-opera-tion, with_ the hetp of the public, will ensure that all names are secur- ^ ed and placed on the Roll of Honour« Mr Kennedy's address is "The Secretary, Taupo District War Memorial Committee, P.O. Box 171, Taupo,"
