Ilotne & Scbool Association. The Taupo Home Sohool Association field a meeting at Nukuhau Pa on T'hursday last, when action songs and poi dances were performed, bv the children, and a talk given by Mif J. Osborne, Headmaster of the Taupo District High School, on plans for the development of the school. Supper was then served oy the hosts. The Annual General Meeting is to be held on March 17th. ic Community Arts Service. — The Taupo C.A.S., announces that the first event of their eoming season will be the presentation in Taupo of Somerset Maugham's most brilliant play, "The Circle." The date will probably be in June. This comedy in the satiric manner will be produced by Mr H. Baigent. Among ! the cast will be Vera Fausett, wellknown Drama Tutor; Rosalie Seddon, from the Arts Gouncil Theatre, Englarid; Noeline Pritchard, who will be remembered by those who saw "Beauty and the Beast"; Howard Biddlestone, who toured in "The Merchant of Venice." Patric Garey of the English Ring Actors, England; will be Stage Director, and Kenneth J. Lhig, Stage' Manager. C.A.S. members are reminded that subscriptions | are due and will be collected by S committee members.
