MANAGEMENT IN REPLY

Invited to comment on the points raised in the above letter, the management of the Majestic Theatre states; There was no overcrowding during the holiday season, but on Saturday, January 19th, when there was a bumper house, chairs were placed down the aisle only at the back. It should be appreciated that such attendances are purely seasonal, and the the management has to deal with abnormal conditions to the best of its ability. As regards the prices for admission, these are governed by the Price Tribunal. The theatre is entitled by a ruling from the Tribunal to charge full prices for children as well as adults during the holiday season and on Saturdays. Now that the rush is over, children's prices are back to normal for week-niights. The question of matinee shows is sufeject to practical considerations which have to be carefully weighed before defmite commitments are decided upon.
