TAUPO TIMES

' THE EDITORSHIP At ihe end of the present rnont^i Mr C. J. McKinnon will vacate the editorial chair of the Taupo Times, and will be succeeded by Mr Ralph H. Ward. Mr McKinnon, who was assoeiated with the original provisional comniittee which founded the Times, undertook the editorship until such time as its progress warranted a more permanent arrangement, and a suitable successor was available. It thas now been possible for the Board1 of Directors to re-arrange matters to enable him, at his own request for urgent personal reasons, to re* tire once more into private life. Mr Ward has been a va.lued contributor to the Times as the aathor of the series, "Tales of the Taupo Country," and has also been closely associated with the Editor as a contributor of news items and reports. The Directors have everf confidence in his ability to carry on in the best tradition of sound journalism. Mr McKinnon's services will still be available in a consultafive capacity.
