MOREHU REMANDED TO WELLINGTON

Far Medical Examination On Wednesday last, June 25, Detective Sergeant Reid submitted to the Magistrate at Napier an application that Robert Morehu, who was to have appeared on remand on the following Friday charged with the murder of James Thomas Hawkins, a pensioner aged 91, be remanded to Wellington, to appear before the Court on Wednesday, July 9th. Mr H. W. Dowling, representing accused, explained that he had agreed to the remand for the purpose stated by the police, namely that Morehu should be medically examined. The Magistrate, Mr Harlow, granted the application.
