MAORI LAND COURT

The second session this year of the Maori Land Court was opened at Tokaanu on^June 10 last, and will be continued next week-end. There were 238 separate items on the "Panui" (agenda), of the session. These included applications for partition and succession, orders setting aside areas of land for Maori Maraes, adoption of children, confirmation of tracts and various other items requiring the sanction of the Court. Native Land Court Judge Dykes, at present residing at his holiday home at Motuopa, is presiding on the Bench. >
