TAUPO WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
There was a good attendance of members at the monthly meeting of the Taupo Women's Institute held in Rickit's Hall last Wednesday. Mrs Stowe, who was delegate for Taupo at the Rotorua Federation's Annual meeting, last month, spoke on points of discusion at the meeting. i An interesting demonstration was . given by Mrs F. Smith of TaurangaTaupo on Articles made from Pine needles. She displayed some very rclever pieces of work done by heriself — baskets vases etc.
It is reported that Mr George Swan, lawyer, of Wellington, has , purchased the Lakefront property of j Mr Allpress. * * At a recent committee meeting of I fhe Oommiunity Arts 'Service Mrs Uuckleigh was elected secretarytreasurer. Hope, of Hawkes ! Bay. It is Mr Sherley's int§ntion | to carry on his profession here when | he has finalised his affairs in Auckland.
