A LAKE LAUNCH1NG
On Saturday evening, March 22, Dr K. Brasted and Dr Dimond, of Wellington, successfully launched their boat "Sandra Taupo" in the Boat Harbour at Lake Taupo. The boat which was brought from Wellington on a lorry,'was taken to the Lake edge where the lorry was backed into the stream and the boat plid gracefully from it. Mr 0. Gillies of Gillies Garage stood by with his Service truck to assist the lorry from the water. The satisfactory method of cradiing the boat on the lorry enabled the launching proceeding to take just a matter of a few minutes. Dr Brasted, Dr Dimond, Dr Bell
and Professor Williams of Wellington intend. spending the Easter holidays at Western Bay.
