GOLF CLUB ENTERTAINS
A delightful evening was soent at the Golf Olutyhouse recently when the Taupo Golf Club arranged a sports evening for the benefit of the Taupo Cricket Club. Competitions in table tennis, darts and quoits were played during the evening and they resulted "as follows: — Table tenni^, men's singles: J. Loughlin beat. L. Cheal; ladies' singles; Mrs Loughlin beat Mrs Acres. Darts, men's singles; A. Graham; ladies' singles: Mrs J. Branson; i mixed doubles: K. Young and Mrs A. Graham; special: J. Loughlin. 'Quoits, men's singles? H. Hullten; iadies' singles: Mrs H. Hullten; special: A. Forster. Among the ladies present were Mesdames L. Cheal, K. Young, A. Graham, C. Vedder, H. Hullten, T. Berggren, G. Patchett, A. Collett, J. Loughlin, N. Avery and G. A. Acres and Misses A. Orr, K. Lewis, D. Cohen and J. Branson.
