APATHY
Sir, — All credit to correspondents who have expressed their views in Your Public Opinion Column. Many leading questions have been raised, and I am surprised that not one of those questions has been taken ■up, ekher by the Editor, or by some person Who should be in a position to reply authoritatively. Presumably the lack of civic pride which has been only too evident at various meetings called to try to foster some community spirit is also lacking in the columns of our very own papeil Must people alwavs go rcund mumbling in their beards
and leaving it all to ihe other fellow to do the striving? Surely Taupo is not teeming with moral cowards. — I am, etc.,
