FISHING NOTES

Mr and Mrs Don. Brandle had the lion's share of the day's fishing at Bay of Islands recently. Fishing out of Russell in Capt. Jack Igles* launch Hinemoa thdy took three swordfish weighing respectively 253, 212 and 183 pounds of which the middle weight fish was caught by Mrs Brandle. There were twelve boats out but one other swordfish only was taken, while the weather was bad both before and after the Taupo visitors* lucky day.
