RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION
A general meeting of the Taupo Ratepayers, Association was held in Rickets Hall on Wednesday, February 6. Mr W. J. Stevens opened the proceedings and explained that the object of this meeting was to elect president, vice president, honorary auditor, honorary * solicitor and one extra committee member. The following were elected: — President, Mr W. J. tStevens. Vice-President, Col, J. C. Baston. Honorary Auditor, Mr N. Duthie (subject to approval). Honorary Solicitor, Mr Le Pine (iSubject to approval). Committee member, Mr B. Turton. The meeting authorised the committee to interview the Town Board on the fire menace and other matters of interest to the ratepayers.
