As stated in last week's edition of the "Taupo Times," the funds raised from the R.S.A. Queen Carnival were vested in the Taupo Town Board, as trustee and exeeutor for the erection of a War Memorial Hall and club rooms for the use of exservicemen. At the monthly meeting of the Taupo Town Board held on Wednesday last. the position was reviewed. Plans have been prepared and ap- | proved by the government as quali- - fying for the subsidy, and a further | stage will be reached at a meeting j of the parties interested, to be held on January 24 next, to consider tenders.
