A Giant In Pigs.
At least one Taupo product recently caused a stir in the animal husbandry world. A mammoth boar, gTown by Mr L. Booth here, was offered as a chopper at the Frankton sale in Hamilton. Weight of the gigantic pig was 749 lbs., dressed, against an average chopper weight of 300 to 400 lb. Mr Booth states that he has several other pigs scaling 700 lbs. at his lake-side farm on the road to Acacia Bay.
