The girl helpers with the wrapping of the paper were Janet Taylor, Shona George, Freda Shugar, Colleen Hill, Margaret Fulljames. Public acknowledgement is likewise recorded to the members of the provisional committee whose interest and attendance at preliminary discussions enabled the Taupo Times to be founded. These included, in addition to the editor and the business manager, Messrs J. Brauson, K. O. Lewis, D. M. Cohen, Messrs C. J. Vedder, W. R. Morris, Ralph Ward, K. Young and J. E. Story. Thanks also are due to Mr C. R. Leslie, for the letter-design of the title-line for the front page.
